We are the The Sewing House, LLC team and would like to introduce ourselves:

Janice Van Gorp

 

Janice comes to us with over 30 years of quilting experience.  She owns her own long arm quilting machine.  She owned and operated Patchworks Quilt Shop in Osceola from 1980 to 1989.  She has taught quilting classes for over 20 years.  She is a proud owner of a Janome Horizon 7700 sewing machine, a Janome MO200 sewing machine, a Janome 3160 sewing machine and a Janome Jem Platinum 760 sewing machine.  She is a member and past president of The Ottumwa Quilters Guild.

Bobbi McClure
 
Bobbi comes to us with over 30 years of quilting experience.  She has done long arm quilting for over 15 years.  She worked at the Needle Nook Quilt Shop in Bloomfield for 6 years.  In the 1960's she worked at Wintermotes Fabrics in Bloomfield for 4 years.  She is a proud owner of a Janome MO200 sewing machine and a Janome 3160 sewing machine.  She is a member and past president of both the Ottumwa Quilters Guild and The Threads of Friendship Quilt Guild in Bloomfield.
Denny Van Gorp
 
Denny retired as a Postmaster, then he retired as a Credit Union Manager.  Now he is a sewing machine service technician.  We are so pleased that he has joined our Sewing House team.
Mary Hartley
 
Mary has quilted since she was a little girl.  She is a member and past secretary of the Ottumwa Quilters Guild.  She is also a member of the Threads of Friendship Guild.  She owns a long arm quilting machine and is the proud owner of a Janome 11000SE sewing/embroidery machine and a Janome MO200 sewing machine.  She loves working at The Sewing House and says when freight comes in it's like Christmas.
Leta Tedrow
 
Leta loves her Janome 350E Embroidery Machine and Digitizer MB.  She haas teamed up with The Sewing House to provide tech support for our embroidery customers.  Contact her by phone at 641-919-2340.  She will answer your questions or set up a time to help you accomplish what you want to do with your Janome Embroidery Machine or software.

Jewel McClure

 

Jewel joined our team as a beginning quilter.  The quilt hanging behind her is a project she helped on in her first quilting class.  She is the proud owner of a Janome 3160 and a 7700QCP, both purchased at The Sewing House.  Mary Hartley introduced Jewel to quilting and she enjoys working with other quilters.   

Lowell McClure
 
Lowell joined us after a 43 year career at John Deere as a tool and die maker.  He specializes as a sewing machine technician.  We are so glad to have him on board.
Pam Streeter
 
Pam comes to us with over 25 years experience in the construction business.  She is a beginning quilter and loves to put colors together for quilts.  She's looking forward to getting to know everyone, and learning all she can about quilting.

Neisha VanGorp

 

Neisha is the granddaughter of Janice and Denny.  She just graduated from highschool and will be attending Indian Hills this fall.  She is just learning to sew and has a great eye for fabric.  She is a real asset to The Sewing House.
